Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Complex Care Nurse to join our team at HMP Leeds, a category B male prison located in Leeds. HMP Leeds is a busy remand prison, so we have a high turnover of inmates, which makes for a fast paced, challenging, but exciting environment!

Hours

This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week.

Youll receive an annual salary of £51,643 - £58,012 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Complex Care Nurse your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a safe and effective transfer into the prison setting with the appropriate care package in place.
  • Work with the Clinical Hub specialist in the proactive management of LTC identifying patients.
  • Develop and formulate a Complex Care Register for the region.
  • Lead on the development of the RMPCC process.

Qualifications & Experience required
  • Registered Adult Nurse.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience at a Senior Staff Nurse level (Band 6 NHS equivalent).
  • Specialist interest in care of the older person/Complex patients.
  • Experience of managing your own caseload.
