We have a Band 5 Audiologist role for 37.5 hours a week, over 4 long days available at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
Working in the Audiology Departments of WHHT, helping the adult hearing-impaired population, by diagnosing and treating hearing loss.
Based across the 3 hospital sites. Hours 7.50-18.00.
Must have a BSc in Audiology or equivalent, with relevant in-service training.
RCCP or equivalent registration is an essential requirement if already qualified.
RCCP registration or equivalent registration must be applied for if your qualification is pending.
Main duties of the jobYou must have NHS experience either as a qualified Audiologist or as a student on placement.
You will be covering ENT clinics, doing Direct referrals, reassessments, hearing aid fittings, follow ups and hearing aid repairs.
You will need to be flexible, a team player and enjoy working with the elderly and hearing impaired.

Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesShow and communicate a complex understanding to all.
Analyze and interpret information.
Work effectively without direct supervision.
Provide specialist clinical and technical services.
Format account databases and generate patient records.
Careful use of expensive equipment and its maintenance.
Propose changes to improve service.
Assist in departmental projects as required.
Clinical supervision.
Careful and accurate recording of patient sessions onto Auditbase.
To participate in mandatory staff training sessions.
To participate in any department research and development.
Person specification Education and qualifications:- BSC in Audiology or equivalent audiological qualifications.
- RCCP/HCPC/ACHS registered or working towards it.
- Member of BAA.
- Confidentiality issues.
- Confident in all aspects of routine Audiology.
- Experience in using Auditbase patient management system.
- Appropriate audiology in service training.
