_ Do you want to support Young People in care to achieve their goals, this could be the role for you. _
A typical day could include playing sports, cooking, gardening taking young people to school, the list is endless then this could be the role for you.
We have a beautiful home in Anfield Plain recently redecorated and bathrooms refurbished. Our homes provide excellent accommodation for children/young people allowing for a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment, where children and young people displaced from families can be supported to independence.
Staff welfare is also important to us, your rota will be shared in advance to ensure you can also manage your personal time. If you don't already have a level 3 qualification you will be enrolled on to this.
Residential Child Care Officer
Full Time, Permanent
40 hours per week
. Sleep in shifts, Day shifts, Weekend working, Bank holidays and possible waking nights
Our starting salary is £25708.00 per annum rising to £26,780.00 following successful probationary period. Additional payments of £50,75 are payable for sleep in shifts (Average 6-7 per month for full time staff)

Residential Child Care Officer role overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a caring, nurturing, and safe standard of care for our young people, this will be achieved by following relevant policies and procedures following risk assessments and making sure that information is kept up to date. Every day is different in our home and can include housekeeping tasks to ensure the home is clean and tidy, cooking for our young people or supporting them to cook, supporting young people to access community activities and see their families and friends and helping young people with independence tasks to prepare them for adulthood.
Residential Child Care Officer desired experience/qualifications:
We are looking for experienced people who have a passion for working with young people and Children and who really want to make a difference to their lives.
Ideally you will have a Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People or Residential Childcare but if not, we will support you to gain this following a successful probationary period.
At least one year's experience working in a residential children's home, however relevant experience of working with young people will also be considered. This could be youth work, volunteering, or experience of working in schools.
You will have good written, verbal communication and IT skills.
Full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
