We are looking for enthusiastic day team members to join our ever-growing teams in the Basingstoke and surrounding areas. We are looking for individuals who wish to make a difference to our Children & Young People's lives with experience in a Learning Disability environment and who have worked with young people in a residential home previously.
You will need to be a fun and kind candidate that wants to make a difference to the young people.
You will need to be a driver as you may be taking the young people to school or out to do activities and hobbies on evening and weekends.
Your role as a support worker will be to support young people and your colleagues to provide the very best care. You will be responsible for helping the young people feel safe and at home. You will support the young people to access education and to be involved in activities and hobbies. You will get to know the young people so you can understand them, and how they are feeling and why they are feeling that way.
Can you work any of the following shifts? (7am to 3pm, 2pm to 10pm, or 7am to 10pm)
You will be paid an additional £50 per sleep in. We have full time and part time hours, minimum 2 shifts per week, if full time then it's a minimum of 3 shifts per week.

Based in Berkshire, South Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hampshire. Calcot Services for Children provides warm, caring, family style homes for looked after children with emotional, learning, social and behavioural difficulties who for whatever reason are unable to live with their family. Children placed in our homes may be at risk of absconding, sexual exploitation, offending behaviours, non-engagement in education, self-harming behaviours and may in their past have been subjects of/witnesses to physical, emotional, sexual abuse, neglect and domestic violence. Children placed may have had numerous placement breakdowns in the past, come from a failed fostering and adoption or this may be their first care placement.
Over the years we have worked tirelessly to develop our service to achieve placement goals and the best possible outcomes for our children and young people and these have been recognised and celebrated by placing authorities, Ofsted, their family, external agencies, awarding bodies and within the sector.
This has been achieved by using therapeutic principles within our daily interactions, communications and practice within the homes and by using other recognised approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapies, psychodynamic counselling, observational studies, restorative justice principles, task-centred practice, crisis intervention, creative care planning and child focused individual care pathways.
