Overview

New Opportunity - Warehouse Manager

Are you a Warehouse Manager with experience working in a Logistics or Distribution environment? Our client in Nottingham is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their team due to continued growth. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of warehouse operations, ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods. You will lead and develop the warehouse team, maintain stock accuracy, drive continuous improvement, and ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and operational procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all daily warehouse activities including goods in, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns
  • Ensure stock accuracy through effective inventory control, cycle counting, and system adherence
  • Deliver agreed service levels and operational KPIs across cost, quality, productivity, and OTIF
  • Plan and manage labour effectively to meet operational demands while controlling costs
  • Manage, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors and operatives
  • Drive a positive, high-performance culture with clear accountability
  • Take ownership of Health & Safety across the distribution centre
  • Conduct risk assessments, accident investigations, and implement corrective actions
  • Identify and implement improvements to warehouse processes, systems, and layouts
  • Provide regular operational reporting, insights, and improvement plans to senior management
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or Senior Warehouse Supervisor within a distribution or logistics environment
  • Strong operational knowledge of warehouse processes and inventory management
  • Solid understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and best practice
  • Proven people management experience within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with WMS systems and warehouse performance metrics
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification, or willingness to work towards this
  • Continuous improvement experience including Lean, CI, or 5S methodologies (desirable)
