Teaching Assistant - Make a Real Difference Every Day (SEMH School) Worthing & Surrounding Areas

Not all classroom roles are the same-and this one really matters.

We're looking for a compassionate, resilient, and genuinely caring Teaching Assistant to support children in an SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) setting. This isn't just about education-it's about connection, patience, and helping young people rebuild confidence in themselves and their future.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Helping to create a calm, structured, and positive learning environment
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour in a nurturing way
  • Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams

The Details:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:30am - 3:30pm
  • School hours only - no evenings or weekends
  • Term time only
  • Half terms and summer holidays off

Where you'll work:

  • Primarily based in the Worthing area
  • Opportunities to work across a range of schools in different locations if desired

  • Experience with children or young people (preferred but not essential)
