SEN Teacher (ASC) - September Start Hillingdon

Are you an experienced and committed SEN Teacher seeking a rewarding new opportunity this September? We are currently recruiting for a specialist school in Hillingdon that supports pupils with ASC. About the Role:

As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver carefully adapted lessons that meet the individual learning needs of pupils with ASC. You will lead a class supported by experienced teaching assistants and collaborate closely with the SENCO, therapists, and families to support each pupil's development and progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with ASC
  • Establish structured and consistent classroom routines that support learning
  • Contribute to and review EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
  • Support communication and social interaction through visual and structured strategies
  • Track pupil progress and adapt teaching methods where required
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and external professionals
  • Apply positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies to support learning

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN, ideally within an ASC setting
  • Understanding of autism-friendly teaching practices and structured learning approaches
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Patient, flexible, and committed to inclusive education
  • Able to commute to Hillingdon or live within a reasonable travelling distance
