About the Role: The Epidemiologist will support the Epidemiology, RWE and Evidence Strategy team by delivering high-quality epidemiological evidence to inform strategic, medical, regulatory, and market access decisions across Ipsen's portfolio. The role contributes to structured evidence generation through literature-based epidemiology, data extraction, and synthesis of disease burden and population estimates. Working under the guidance of the Senior Epidemiology lead, you will ensure that epidemiology data used in internal and external documents are scientifically robust, traceable, and aligned with Ipsen standards. The position plays an important operational role in enabling timely responses to global evidence requests. Key Responsibilities: Epidemiology Evidence Generation Conduct targeted and systematic literature searches to identify epidemiological data (i.e., incidence, prevalence, survival, mortality, disease burden) Extract and structure data from scientific publications, registries, and public databases to address key questions from stakeholders around the business Develop standardized epidemiology evidence tables under supervision of the Senior Epidemiologist Data Synthesis & Analysis Support Compare epidemiological estimates across studies and geographies Contribute to structured summaries of epidemiology evidence, including ranges and key methodological considerations Support basic pooled estimates or weighted averages under senior oversight Collaborate with Data Science team to ensure appropriate data extraction and analysis using available data resources Geographic Epidemiology Support Compile and summarize epidemiology data for priority regions (US, EU5, UK, Japan, China, and other key markets) Support adaptation of global estimates to local contexts using published sources Centralized Epidemiology Operations & Process Manage assigned epidemiology requests through the intake and tracking system, ensuring clear prioritization and follow-up Deliver high-quality epidemiology outputs within agreed timelines to support business. regulatory and other relevant business needs Cross-Functional Collaboration Interact with key stakeholders (including, but not limited to Medical, HEOR/RWE, Market Access, and Regulatory teams) to clarify epidemiology needs Present summarized findings in a clear, structured format suitable for non-epidemiologist stakeholders Qualifications: Master's degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, or related life sciences field with strong epidemiology training Experience using epidemiology data from registries or public databases (e.g., SEER, GBD, Orphanet) Academic or professional training in epidemiology or public health Significant experience conducting literature reviews and extracting data from scientific publications Understanding of core epidemiology concepts (incidence, prevalence, study design, bias, limitations) Experience structuring data in Excel or similar tools Exposure to rare diseases, oncology, or specialty care epidemiology Familiarity with regulatory or HTA evidence needs Fluency in English If you feel that this could be the right next step for you, we would be delighted to engage with your application.
