SEN Teacher (ASC) - September Start Hillingdon

About the Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver carefully adapted lessons that meet the individual learning needs of pupils with ASC. You will lead a class supported by experienced teaching assistants and collaborate closely with the SENCO, therapists, and families to support each pupil's development and progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with ASC
- Establish structured and consistent classroom routines that support learning
- Contribute to and review EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Support communication and social interaction through visual and structured strategies
- Track pupil progress and adapt teaching methods where required
- Work collaboratively with support staff and external professionals
- Apply positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies to support learning
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN, ideally within an ASC setting
- Understanding of autism-friendly teaching practices and structured learning approaches
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Patient, flexible, and committed to inclusive education
- Able to commute to Hillingdon or live within a reasonable travelling distance
