SEN Casework Officer

We are seeking an experienced SEN Casework Officer to join our team and manage a high-volume caseload. This role is ideal for a confident, organised, and knowledgeable professional who can work collaboratively with schools, families, and wider services to support children and young people with SEND.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of 500+ children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Work within an allocated area patch, taking responsibility for a group of schools.
• Lead and coordinate the Annual Review process, ensuring compliance with statutory timelines.
• Oversee Phase Transfer processes, providing clear guidance and timely decision-making.
• Build effective working relationships with schools, families, and partner agencies to ensure positive outcomes.
• Maintain accurate case records and demonstrate excellent workload management skills.

About You

• Experienced in SEN casework, within a local authority setting.
• Strong understanding of EHCP processes, Annual Reviews, and Phase Transfers.
• Exceptional organisational and caseload management skills.
• Confident communicator with a collaborative, solution-focused approach.
• Able to work independently while contributing positively to the wider team.
