Reception team lead

The practice is seeking to employ two Reception Team Leads who will work closely with the Patient Services Manager and reception team to ensure efficient and effective operation of all reception areas, providing quality service to patients and the PMP team. The role involves working on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with flexibility to cover other days for holidays, sickness, training, or meetings.

Main duties of the job

• Ensure reception administration and appointment duties are delivered successfully.
• Coordinate and participate in reception duties, supporting staff and ensuring all patients and visitors are treated professionally and courteously.
• Monitor call queue levels and participate effectively during peak times.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and the practice team.
• Act as the first point of contact for staff, including clinicians, handling urgent queries efficiently.
• Handle complex patient enquiries and verbal complaints.

About us

The practice is a large, busy, four-site training practice. The ideal candidate should be able to travel between sites, sometimes at short notice, to address issues as they arise.
