Job Title: Maintenance Fitter

Salary: £18.62 per hour with a 20% shift uplift. Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30. Location: Wythenshawe Hospital, Southmoor Road, Wythenshawe, M23 9LT.

Driving licence: Desirable.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering and Building Services.
• Proven experience in a mechanical maintenance or fitter role.
• Strong knowledge of heating, ventilation, and mechanical systems.
• Confidence diagnosing faults and effective repairs.
• Working knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and complete further qualifications.
• Experience in healthcare or large complex sites is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete issued dockets for day to day tasks.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of heating, chilled, ventilation, and BMS systems in a healthcare environment.
• Install, repair, fault find and diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building energy management systems.
• Work safely in compliance with health and safety regulations, including heights and tool use.
• Work independently, including on call duties and driving the company vehicle as required.
• Meet the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 requirements and uphold health and safety standards.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and participate in scheduled response systems.
