Infrastructure Engineer - Hyper-V and Storage

We are looking for a strong Engineer who has exceptional experience across Hyper-V. This is a project, working with a client following a ransom ware attack and requires a rebuild of parts of their infrastructure. Working with architects, managers and suppliers you will responsible for:

Infrastructure Design & Implementation

• Design and deploy virtualization solutions using Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Plan and implement host clustering using Windows Server Failover Clustering.
• Configure and manage virtual switches, networking, and storage.

Administration & Maintenance

• Manage virtual machines (provisioning, patching, upgrades, decommissioning).
• Monitor performance and capacity planning.
• Perform regular health checks and system audits.

High Availability & Disaster Recovery

• Implement live migration and storage migration.
• Configure replication using Hyper-V Replica.
• Develop and test disaster recovery plans.
• Ensure backup integration with enterprise backup solutions.

Security & Compliance

• Harden virtualization hosts and guest systems.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security policies.
• Manage patching and vulnerability remediation.

Troubleshooting & Support

• Diagnose and resolve Hyper-V issues.
• Troubleshoot storage, networking, and clustering issues.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for virtualization-related incidents.
