Job Description

Housing Management & Property Litigation Solicitor 3+ PQE Birmingham

BCL Legal is working with a highly regarded national law firm seeking an experienced Housing Management & Property Litigation Solicitor with 3+ years' PQE to join its growing Birmingham team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading practice acting for social housing providers, local authorities and private landlords on a broad range of housing management and property litigation matters.

The Role:
  • Manage your own varied caseload of housing management and property litigation matters.
  • Handle a broad mix of contentious work including injunctions, possession proceedings and housing disrepair claims, alongside non-contentious advisory work such as policy advice.
  • Support partners on complex and high-value housing litigation matters.
  • Work directly with clients, building strong relationships while managing expectations and meeting deadlines.
  • Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and paralegals.
  • Prepare and deliver client training sessions.
  • Contribute to business development and marketing initiatives to further strengthen client relationships.
  • Manage multiple deadlines effectively within a busy and collaborative team environment.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx Lawyers should hold Civil Litigation Practice Rights).
  • At least 3 years' PQE with experience in housing management and property litigation.
  • Confident managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision.
  • Experience supervising junior team members is desirable.
  • Commercially aware with a proactive and client-focused approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
  • Highly motivated, resilient and committed to delivering excellent client service.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office applications.
