Home to School Passenger Assistant - SEND Transport -

Wigan Council is seeking a Home to School Passenger Assistant to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) during their journeys to schools and colleges across and outside the borough.

This is a term-time, split-shift role running from September to October 2026, paying £13.26-£13.90 per hour. A taxi will collect you from home or a designated pick-up point for morning and afternoon runs.

You will play a vital part in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of all young passengers during transit, helping them arrive at their destination calm, settled, and ready to learn.
