Job Description
Health & Safety Advisor - Residential Housing Development (Dungarvan, Co. Waterford)

A leading property developer is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join a major residential housing development project in Dungarvan. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced safety professional to work on a large-scale residential scheme with a well-established developer delivering high-quality homes in a growing regional area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health & safety are maintained across all site activities, supporting project teams in delivering the development safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor health & safety procedures across a large residential construction site
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Support site management in preparing and reviewing RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, preparing detailed reports and corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety legislation and company policies
  • Liaise with subcontractors, site management, and project stakeholders on safety matters
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all residential construction activities
  • Maintain accurate records for compliance, audits, and reporting purposes
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline
  • Minimum 2-4 years' experience in a Health & Safety role within construction
  • Residential construction experience is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation and site practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Full driving licence required
