A leading property developer is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join a major residential housing development project in Dungarvan. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced safety professional to work on a large-scale residential scheme with a well-established developer delivering high-quality homes in a growing regional area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health & safety are maintained across all site activities, supporting project teams in delivering the development safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and monitor health & safety procedures across a large residential construction site
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Support site management in preparing and reviewing RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, preparing detailed reports and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety legislation and company policies
- Liaise with subcontractors, site management, and project stakeholders on safety matters
- Promote a strong safety culture across all residential construction activities
- Maintain accurate records for compliance, audits, and reporting purposes
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline
- Minimum 2-4 years' experience in a Health & Safety role within construction
- Residential construction experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation and site practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Full driving licence required
- Competitive salary (€55,000 - €65,000 DOE)
