Contract Supervisor for Firestopping and Fire Doors Projects

Elite Fire Solutions Limited are a company specialising in the installation, service, and maintenance of fire protection products within the construction industry. Our offices are in Basildon.

Due to expansion, we are recruiting for an experienced Contract Supervisor to oversee short term projects ( usually 2-6 weeks duration) Fire Door and Firestopping installations in live government buildings. Experience in both Fire Doors and Firestopping is desirable, but qualifications and working experience in one or the other would be required. We have a fantastic established team of Contract Supervisors throughout the UK, whom are allocated their own projects and can provide support.

Location: The North of the UK (Travel and staying away will be a requirement of the role).

Duration: Full Time PAYE

Working Hours : Mixture of night and day works. Installers are on site overnight Mon-Thurs, the role requires site visits to be completed when installers are present (flexibility is provided on the basis sites are visited on the first and last night and also regularly in between), but surveying, site meetings and audits are to be attending during the day and booked in advance. Friday is generally an office or work from home admin day.

Responsibilities:

Sole responsibility for site surveys on Bolster, for firestopping, and fire door remedials and measuring for fire doors replacements,
Attending client pre-start meetings and audits and liaising in a professional manner with the client and completing relevant paperwork to submit to the office
Managing multiple sites at a time, maintaining regular visits
Completing intrusive surveys to check and monitor quality of works
Ensuring adequate materials are onsite and ordered in a timely manner, arranging deliveries and storage of materials
Building relationships and liaising with sub-contractors on a daily basis
Monitoring Bolster for timekeeping and quality of installations, correct records of work are maintained
Set up of site boards and being point of contact for any issues on site for the client
Ensuring cleanliness on site is kept to a high standard
Direction and supervision of day-to-day operations to ensure all work is completed to a consistently high standard and in accordance with regulations
Maintain Health & Safety control procedures in accordance with the Company and client's policy.
Willingness to have a hands-on approach to the installation of fire doors and fire door remedials if required.
Ensure all works are signed-off to a high standard.

Requirements:

Either an Experienced Joiner with a proven track record in fire door installations or Experienced Fire Stopper with proven track record in the fire protection industry
Supervising, surveying, auditing and reporting/project management experience
Good communication and organisational skills
Bolster software experience
Polite with a great work ethic

NVQ Level 2 in Firestopping (required) or NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry (required)
Full driving licence
