Job Description
GAUCHOarelooking for an experienced Commis Chef to work in our GAUCHO Edinburghrestaurants! You will need to have experience working in a fast paced, busy kitchen, and be keen to grow within the kitchen. OurCommis Chefwill be passionate about food and hospitality, and will be able to deliver high quality dishes according to a spec. This is an exciting opportunity to join a GAUCHOkitchen where you will have opportunity to develop and grow.

- Service of food to assigned task standards.
- To ensure the mise en place is performed to the high standard required at all times.
- Tosustain high presentation & correct positioning and cooking of food at all times with guidance from senior chefs.
- To maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and upkeep of equipment.
- To ensure daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties are carried out as instructed by senior chefs.
- To contribute to the building of the team and efficient team spirit and an active interest in employee's welfare, safety and development.
- To help and maintain a maximum yield in the kitchen in relation to the gross profit and wastage
- Previousexperience working in a busy kitchen
- Have a genuine passion for food and cooking
- Enjoys working in a busy and professional kitchen
