Class 1 Driver - Ad Hoc

Job Overview

Manpower is looking to recruit a Class 1 driver (C+E) to work at one of the largest confectionary distributors in the UK, based in the York area.

Working Hours

On average, 2 to 4 shifts per week are required on an ad hoc basis to cover extra workload, holidays and sickness - regular hours cannot be guaranteed.

Pay Rates

• Day Drive: £20.37
• Night Drive: £21.17
• Shunting: £22.16
• Meal Allowance: £10

Shift Details

Minimum of 6 hours paid per shift, with an average shift length of 8 to 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Drive loads and unload if needed.
• Perform shunting work.
• Engage in heavy lifting, pulling, pushing, and twisting to move items.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role you must have 18 months or more Class 1 driving experience, no more than 3 points on your licence, and no disqualifications. The successful candidate will be put forward for a 3 hour assessment/induction on site followed by 3 days of training.

Induction and training are paid.
