Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Licensing & Authorization - lead end to end credit broker and lender license applications in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, and UK for BNPL, personal loans, and merchant financing; manage FCA Temporary Permissions Regime registration for Deferred Payment Credit by 15 May 2026; coordinate with national regulators (BaFin, ACPR, OAM, Bank of Spain, AFM, FCA); maintain license compliance, including renewals, reporting and supervision; monitor PSD3/PSR and CCD2 implementation; ensure FOS jurisdiction compliance for all regulated credit agreements.
  • Channel Partnership Compliance - develop and implement compliance frameworks for the bank partnership model, specifying roles and liabilities for BNPL, personal loan and merchant financing; establish due diligence, monitoring and audit processes for banks, payment processors and merchant onboarding providers; ensure compliance with FCA third party reporting rules (March 2027) and EU outsourcing guidelines; negotiate contractual compliance provisions and oversee merchant due diligence and monitoring.
Qualifications
  • Minimum: 5+ years of compliance experience in consumer lending, payments or BNPL; proven track record of obtaining and maintaining credit broker or payment services licences in at least two EU jurisdictions; hands on fintech bank partnership experience; deep knowledge of EU and UK financial services regulation; strong project management and communication skills.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance or related field; professional certifications such as CRCM, CCP, CPCO; experience launching BNPL or POS financing in EU/UK markets; knowledge of RegTech and compliance management systems; experience with FOS complaints handling and regulatory examinations.
