British Sign Language TA

BSL TA REQUIRED - FULL TIME ROLE

Academics Ltd is currently recruiting for an experienced individual who is qualified in British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2 or 3. The role involves working closely with the SEND provision to support children in classrooms with hearing impairment.

The school is based in Birmingham, and the BSL Teaching Assistant must be able to commit to this full-time role.

PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU KNOW BSL, AS THIS IS REQUIRED TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE CHILDREN.

The successful candidate must:

1. Assist in improving students' learning and development.
2. Have a minimum of Level 2 in Sign Language; candidates with lower qualifications but high experience in BSL will also be considered.
3. Be dedicated and knowledgeable, with a desire to make a difference.
4. Show commitment to the long-term position and support pupils with hearing impairment.

You must hold:

• Level 2 or 3 in British Sign Language.
• Experience working with students with hearing impairments.
• A passion for working with Special Educational Needs.

Academics Ltd requires all candidates to have a fully enhanced DBS check, a minimum of two years of working references, and to attend a face-to-face interview.
