Job Description: Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner - CAMHS
Role Overview: Join our dynamic and compassionate team as a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner specialising in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) within the NHS. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality mental health care to young individuals in London. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver effective, evidence-based interventions and support to children and adolescents experiencing mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive child-specific mental health assessments to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.

Provide therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs of young people, utilising a range of evidence-based approaches.

Engage in youth crisis de-escalation, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients in distress.

Collaborate with families, schools, and other agencies to create a supportive network for young people.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with NHS guidelines.

Participate in regular supervision and team meetings to enhance practice and professional development.

Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives within CAMHS.
Required Qualifications and Experience:

Relevant professional qualification in Mental Health Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Psychology.

Registration with the appropriate professional body (NMC, HCPC, etc.).

Experience working within mental health services, with a focus on CAMHS.

Completion of NHS mandatory training relevant to the role.
Desirable Skills:
