Job Vacancy: Activities Coordinator

Location: Loose Valley Care Home, 15 Linton Road, Maidstone, Kent ME15 0AG

Contracted hours: 22 hours (every other weekend free, as applicable)

Hourly rate: Starting from £13

As an Activities Coordinator, you will be part of an exceptionally supportive team, providing outstanding physical, emotional, and social assistance to residents at Loose Valley Care Home.

This role is for a caring heart who loves making people happy and supports residents' physical and mental wellbeing while respecting their choices, dignity, and privacy.

Nellsar is committed to developing and training staff. The successful candidate will receive ongoing training and development with opportunities for progression, including apprenticeships.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences are considered to enhance their wellbeing.
• Organise and plan weekly activity programmes within the allocated budget, create a written rota, and update activity boards around the home.
• Create risk assessments for activities and consent forms for families or residents.
• Produce newsletters to inform residents and their relatives/friends about activities, and liaise with the Marketing team to produce information for newsletters.
• Support residents to access the internet and other communication methods such as letter writing, Skype and FaceTime.
• Maintain skills at a current level and undertake required training and development to progress knowledge.
