Year 2 Teacher - Preston Full Time

REED/LTA are seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Preston. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for Key Stage 1 (KS1) education, looking to make a significant impact in the early stages of children's education. The position is available to start as soon as possible and will continue until the end of the summer term.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and educational lessons that cater to the needs of Year 2 students.
• Assess and record students' progress, preparing them for the transition to the next year level.
• Create a nurturing and safe learning environment that encourages curiosity and active participation.
• Implement classroom activities that promote social and academic growth.
• Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the educational environment and share effective teaching strategies.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and behaviour.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a preference for KS1 specialisation.
• Proven experience as a Year 2 Teacher or similar role.
• Strong understanding of the national curriculum and KS1 requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage children and manage diverse learning needs.
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards teaching.
