Job Description
Warehouse Supervisor - Leitrim

Our client a wholesale distribution business based in Leitrim requires a Warehouse Supervisor to join their team. This exciting role will allow the correct candidate to manage the warehouse team and oversee all daily operations including fleet management, stock control, and goods dispatch.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, stock management, order processing, and shipping.
  • Manage all vehicles, ensuring adequate maintenance schedules are completed and full compliance with relevant authorities.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and health and safety standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits and stocktakes to maintain accuracy.
  • Implement effective stock management systems to minimize discrepancies and losses.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and sales teams to ensure adequate stock levels and timely replenishment.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluation of warehouse staff.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and employee engagement.
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, coordinating with carriers, reps and customers.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment, addressing any issues or delays promptly.
  • Enforce health and safety policies, conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of materials.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and compliance purposes.
  • Ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of the warehouse at all times.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in warehouse/supply chain management or a similar role with strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management and logistics.
  • Proficient in stock management systems (SMS) and other relevant software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • C Driving Licence preferable but not essential.
