Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Legal Counsel will advise Adobe's product and engineering teams on legal issues impacting product design, development, and launch. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex technology agreements, including IP licenses and development contracts. The candidate will collaborate with multiple internal teams - such as sales, finance, and procurement - and legal specialists in privacy, compliance, and patents. Responsibilities also include training employees on legal topics like open source use, data privacy, and security. The counsel will monitor regulatory trends, manage legal risks, and coordinate with external law firms on specialized matters, ensuring Adobe operates within legal frameworks while supporting innovation.

Who Adobe is Looking For

Adobe seeks a qualified lawyer in India with 5-7 years of relevant experience in technology law, preferably in the IT/ITeS sector. The ideal candidate must have expertise in drafting and negotiating software licensing, SaaS, and data-related agreements. A strong understanding of privacy, data security, and cyberlaw is essential, especially for product development and online services. Experience advising product teams on technology launches, including AI and generative AI, is highly valuable. The candidate should have strong communication skills, the ability to simplify complex legal concepts, and a collaborative mindset.
