Job Description

September Start SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Location: Plymouth, Devon
  • Salary: £95-£100 per day
  • Job Type: Full-time, part-time

Join our dedicated team as an SEN Teaching Assistant, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children with special educational needs. This role requires a compassionate individual who can provide tailored support in a classroom setting, assisting with learning, behaviour management, and personal development.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support children with special educational needs within the classroom environment.
  • Assist with both academic learning and personal development tasks.
  • Work closely with students either one-on-one or in small groups to ensure they receive the support they need.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement effective strategies that promote student engagement and success.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with SEN students is desirable but not essential.
  • Must be a driver with access to a vehicle, as the role may involve travel to different locations or activities is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff and engage with students.
  • A passion for supporting the development and education of young people, with a patient and nurturing approach.
  • GCSE Mathematics & English Grade C and equivalent or above.
