Veterinary Surgeon - friendly and well-established team
Posted 3 days 10 hours ago by British Veterinary LGBT+
Are you a dedicated veterinarian who treats every pet as if it were your own? Do you aspire to work in a practice that mirrors your commitment to exceptional patient care? My client are seeking a skilled and personable vet to join their friendly and well-established team in Somerset. With a competitive salary of up to £65,000, this role offers an enriching career in a supportive environment.
The long standing team is composed of experienced vets, three Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs), one Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA), and two receptionists, all working together to provide top tier care.
The practice itself is a haven for rewarding work. The facility is equipped to a high standard, featuring three consultation rooms, a theatre, and separate cat and dog isolation wards. There is also a designated colleague space with an office and kitchen area.
Team collaboration is highly valued with a structured approach to work, a clear diary system, frequent catch ups, and group clinical discussions to consistently deliver first class care.
The practice is looking for an experienced vet with a broad range of small animal general practice skills. The varied caseload will require confidence in all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery, with sole charge responsibilities one day a week. The practice is also open to considering a vet focused solely on consultations, which are scheduled for 15 minutes as standard, with additional time allocated when necessary.
Strong clinical skills are essential, but equally important is the ability to build strong relationships with patients and clients. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team oriented environment.
The role is primarily full time, but part time hours can be considered. The position includes a 1 in 4 weekend rota.
Located in charming Somerset, the practice is surrounded by excellent amenities, educational facilities, and local transport links. The area also offers a rich variety of nearby towns, sites, and attractions, making it a delightful place to live and work.
If you are a compassionate and skilled vet looking to join a supportive and experienced team, this could be your next career move.
