Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a forward thinking, community focused small animal practice where clinical skills, teamwork and care are genuinely valued. This role would suit a vet is looking to take the next step, broaden their clinical exposure and become an integral part of a friendly, collaborative team.

The successful candidate will enjoy a varied and engaging caseload, with the flexibility to shape the role around their strengths and interests. Whether they thrive in consultations, enjoy working up more complex medical cases or prefer a hands on surgical mix, the practice is keen to tailor the position to the individual.

Team & Shifts

Working alongside an experienced veterinary and nursing team you will contribute meaningfully to the ongoing development of the practice while delivering personalised, high quality care. The team comprises 8 veterinarians, 10 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, 1 Patient Care Assistant and 9 Client Care Associates across two well established branches.

Typical shifts include two consult days (9am-6pm), one ops/inpatient day (9am-7pm), one second ops day (8am-4pm) and are based over a 40 hour week with just 1 Saturday morning.

The practice is looking for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment while remaining calm under pressure, demonstrates strong clinical decision making and diagnostic interpretation, communicates clearly and compassionately with clients, is confident managing complex cases and supporting clients through challenging situations, enjoys problem solving and adapting treatment plans to individual patients and values teamwork, mentorship and continuous improvement.
