We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic / Service Technician to join our highly respected independent team in Cardiff. • Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per year basic (Tailored directly to your hands on experience and technical skillset).

Your Role

As a vital member of our Cardiff technical team, you will:

• Carry out mechanical repairs, routine vehicle servicing, braking system maintenance, timing belts, and complex mechanical tasks.
• Use up to date diagnostic tools to efficiently fault find and resolve technical and electrical issues.
• Ensure high quality "first time fix" results while adhering strictly to workshop safety guidelines.
• Work productively to complete vehicle repairs accurately and keep the workshop operating smoothly.
• Collaborate with a skilled team of mechanics to uphold our high standards of customer satisfaction.

What You Need

• Qualifications & Experience: Proven track record working as a Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, or Service Specialist in a professional workshop setting. Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ/IMI preferred, though time served technical experience is also considered. F Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
• Technical Skill: Excellent engine knowledge, alongside strong working knowledge of general vehicle servicing, mechanical components, and diagnostics.
• Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
• Key Strengths: A reliable, self motivated professional with good attention to detail, strong mechanical understanding, and a team player mindset.
