Main duties of the jobAs a Unit Manager - Clinical, your responsibilities will include leading a team of nurses, senior carers, and carers to provide staff support, enhancing and promoting the residents' quality of life through effective care planning, managing and participating in the rota to ensure senior care and care support are always available, and supporting the Deputy Manager and Clinical Managers in managing the medication systems and ordering and distributing prescribed medication to residents.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus as Unit Manager - Clinical will be to support the care home management team to deliver high-quality care with a difference by providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of nurses, senior carers and carers to provide staff support, including demonstrations and instruction of care activities.
- Enhancing and promoting the residents' quality of life through effective care planning.
- Managing and participating in the rota to ensure that senior care and care support are always available and that your unit is covered appropriately.
- Supporting the Deputy Manager and Clinical Managers in managing the medication systems and ordering and distributing prescribed medication to residents.

- An active NMC PIN.
- Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
- At least two years' experience of working within a care home environment.
- The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Person Specification Qualifications- To be successful in this role, you must have an active NMC PIN, an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, and at least two years' experience of working within a care home environment. You must also have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
