Two Day, Live Out, Nanny, Barley, Hertfordshire

Overview

Starting in mid October 2026, a twelve month fixed term, two day, live out nanny role is available in Barley, Hertfordshire. The family is looking for an Ofsted registered nanny, or someone willing to become registered. The role may be extended by mutual agreement.

Responsibilities

• Sole caring responsibility for a three year old boy and a one year old girl. The boy attends nursery on Mondays and Tuesdays from September.
• Prepare healthy, homemade meals for the children, with meals prepared in advance and frozen when appropriate.
• Assist with simple daily household tasks such as emptying the dishwasher, keeping children's areas tidy, and staying on top of laundry.
• Provide educational and stimulating indoor activities (sensory play, reading, singing, crafts, den building, treasure hunts) and outdoor play with walks.
• Offer additional ad hoc hours and babysitting as mutually agreed, paid as overtime.
• Drive the children to and from nursery; must have a fully insured car and be a careful driver. Duty mileage will be paid.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum two years of childcare experience.
• Up to date enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service.
• 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
• At least two professional referees, one of whom must be a current or last employer.
• Willingness to be Ofsted registered if not already.

Hours & Salary

Monday and Tuesday, 09:30-17:30 (16 hours per week). Salary: £14,976 gross per annum. Overtime paid at £18 gross per hour.
