Job Description
Introduction to the Film & TV Charity

The film and TV industry can be a truly exciting career path, but it can also be a challenging environment to work in, with complex projects, freelance work-patterns, tight deadlines, and limited budgets, leading to various financial, mental, and physical workplace challenges.

For over a century, the Film & TV Charity has provided confidential and impartial support to professionals in the UK's film, TV, and cinema industry, helping them navigate tough times. Their services are tailored to the screen sector and include practical help and advice to address immediate needs and prevent future problems.

The charity's goal is to enable professionals to remain and thrive in the industry, regardless of their circumstances and background. With a focus on mental and physical health, financial wellbeing, and equity and inclusion, they currently support over 200,000 people.

Trustee Opportunity

Due to upcoming retirements, the Film & TV Charity is seeking a new Trustee with expertise in mental wellbeing interventions, particularly for freelance and creative professionals. Knowledge of adult safeguarding best practices would be an advantage.

Candidates should possess specialist knowledge, strong networks, and a understanding of charity governance. Commercial, policy, or administrative experience, as well as a track record of developing income streams, would be beneficial. The charity is committed to diversity and encourages applications from underrepresented groups.
