We are seeking a Mid-level Transaction Monitoring SME/Data Analyst to support a major TM platform migration from Comply Advantage (CA) to LexisNexis (LN). This is a hands-on consulting role focused on rule validation, data analysis, testing, and operational readiness to ensure a safe, accurate, and compliant transition ahead of CA decommissioning.
The successful consultant will play a key role in ensuring MLRO sign-off by validating rule integrity, analysing performance impacts, and aligning the new configuration with AML regulatory expectations and internal risk appetite.
Key Responsibilities:
Rule Migration & Validation
Execute comprehensive, rule-by-rule reviews of configurations migrated from Comply Advantage to LexisNexis.
Analyse and compare alert volumes, rule thresholds, typologies, and detection logic across both platforms.
Highlight inconsistencies and recommend tuning or recalibration where required.
Evaluate the impact of LexisNexis's rule set on the organisation's risk exposure and existing TM processes.
Perform detailed analytical reviews across both systems to confirm rule effectiveness and performance.
Extract, manipulate, and reconcile large data sets to validate alert integrity and output accuracy.
Contribute to functional testing, including drafting test cases, supporting execution, and managing defect identification and resolution.
Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and third-party testing providers to address issues promptly.
Contribute to defining cutover readiness criteria and dual-run validation standards.
Prepare documentation to support MLRO approval and regulatory assurance.
Support the development of updated procedures and training materials aligned to the LexisNexis operating framework.
Validate that migrated rules remain consistent with AML regulatory obligations and internal risk appetite.
Escalate identified risks, control gaps, or inconsistencies to senior SMEs and MLRO representatives in a timely manner.
Required Skills and Experience
Hands-on experience with both Comply Advantage and LexisNexis TM solutions (essential).
Strong AML Transaction Monitoring expertise, including alert review logic and rule calibration.
Proven experience on TM migration, remediation, or transformation programmes.
Advanced data analysis skills (SQL, Excel, Python or equivalent).
Ability to interpret and validate detection logic, thresholds, behavioural behaviours, and typologies.
Experience working with compliance stakeholders, testing teams, and technology vendors.
Comfortable operating in high-pressure environments with compressed timelines and strong attention to detail.
Ideal Consultant
Detail-oriented, analytical, and methodical.
Strong stakeholder communication skills, particularly with Compliance and MLRO offices.
Able to bridge business, compliance, and technical teams effectively.
Delivery-focused with a consulting mindset.
