Trainee Animal Care Technician

Job Location

Harrogate, North Yorkshire

Work Schedule

Monday - Thursday 7:45am - 4:00pm, Friday 7:45am - 3:30pm. 1 in 3 weekends as overtime.

Job Responsibilities

• Acclimatisation of animals to their surroundings.
• Ensure that animal enclosures are maintained.
• Clean out kennels, pens and cages, and change bedding.
• Exercise dogs and socialize with the animals.
• Handle, feed and water animals.
• Accurately record vital animal information such as body weights.

Minimum Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE Level or Equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Animal Care Level 2 qualification.
• Animal Management Level 3 qualification.
• Institute of Animal Technology qualification.

• Previous experience working with animals.
