Position Overview

Temporary part time Retail Assistant - Kew (Richmond upon Thames).

Pay: £14.24 per hour plus holiday pay.

Hours: 17.5 per week on a rota basis, including weekends.

Start date: Immediate.

Duration: Until 31 October 2026.

Location: Kew - on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain professional service standards when interacting with customers and volunteers.
• Implement systems to appropriately organise and price donations.
• Effectively replenish shop and keep the shop floor at a high standard.
• Process sales, including handling cash and card transactions.
• Serve as reliable point of contact for the volunteer team.
• Manage rotas and ensure shifts are covered.
• Support the Store Manager with required administration tasks.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Positive attitude that motivates the team.
• Experience working in a retail environment.
• Experience with stock control and cash handling.
• A valid DBS check is required.
