• Job Type: Full-time - 12-month Fixed Term Contract
• Annual Salary: up to £73,000 per annum

A new exciting opportunity has become available to an innovative team as a Technical Lead Developer with a focus on technical leadership. This hands-on role involves significant technical responsibility, leading and planning technical work across large or multiple teams. You will be pivotal in defining and delivering the technical strategy for key transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with both strategic goals and compliance with UK government service standards.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Define and deliver technical strategies for major transformation initiatives, making crucial technology decisions across one or more teams.
• Collaborate closely with the Architecture, Infrastructure, and Development teams to ensure a unified approach to solution development.
• Develop and present proof of concepts to demonstrate how appropriate patterns can provide scalable, extensible, and resilient solutions.
• Utilize specialist knowledge to ensure that the technical choices and processes meet the required service assessment criteria.
• Lead the successful delivery of technical solutions through all stages of software development.
• Mentor, coach, lead and enhance the technical capabilities of one or more development teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring developers across multiple teams.
• Expertise in .NET/C#, with a strong background in designing, coding, and testing applications.
• Profound understanding of modern software standards and practices, and the ability to lead their application across teams.
• In-depth knowledge of modern architecture patterns such as Domain Driven Design, Microservices, and CQRS.
• Expert experience in cloud technologies, preferably Azure (Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, capable of acting as a Scrum Master/Delivery Manager.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps, including building CI and CD pipelines.
