The Role and Responsibilities- Managing multiple asphalt surfacing contracts simultaneously
- Overseeing project planning, programming, and resource allocation
- Ensuring all works comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting site supervisors and operational teams
- Monitoring budgets, controlling costs, and maximising profitability
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Preparing detailed progress reports and attending client meetings
- Resolving operational challenges efficiently and professionally
- Proven experience in a Contracts Manager or senior project management role within asphalt surfacing or civil engineering
- Strong commercial awareness with demonstrable cost control experience
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of surfacing techniques, materials, and industry standards
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS, NVQ Level 6/7 or equivalent (preferred)
- Salary dependent on experience
