The Role and Responsibilities

• Managing multiple asphalt surfacing contracts simultaneously
• Overseeing project planning, programming, and resource allocation
• Ensuring all works comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Leading, mentoring, and supporting site supervisors and operational teams
• Monitoring budgets, controlling costs, and maximising profitability
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Preparing detailed progress reports and attending client meetings
• Resolving operational challenges efficiently and professionally

Must Have Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in a Contracts Manager or senior project management role within asphalt surfacing or civil engineering
• Strong commercial awareness with demonstrable cost control experience
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• In-depth knowledge of surfacing techniques, materials, and industry standards
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS, NVQ Level 6/7 or equivalent (preferred)
