Brook Street Social Care is currently recruiting a Homeless Support Worker to provide practical and emotional support to individuals experiencing homelessness, helping them move towards stability, independence, and long-term housing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to individuals with complex needs
• Support service users with housing applications, benefits, and appointments
• Promote independence, life skills, and wellbeing
• Complete accurate records, risk assessments, and support plans
• Maintain professional boundaries while building positive, trusting relationships
• Work collaboratively with housing teams, healthcare services, and external agencies
• Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and equality standards are upheld

Requirements

• Experience working with homeless or vulnerable adults (desirable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Basic IT and record-keeping skills
• A compassionate, non-judgemental approach
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
