Job Description
Overview 
location: Leeds
Pay rate: 12.60phr
Brook Street Social Care is currently recruiting a Homeless Support Worker to provide practical and emotional support to individuals experiencing homelessness, helping them move towards stability, independence, and long-term housing solutions.
Responsibilities- Provide person-centred support to individuals with complex needs
- Support service users with housing applications, benefits, and appointments
- Promote independence, life skills, and wellbeing
- Complete accurate records, risk assessments, and support plans
- Maintain professional boundaries while building positive, trusting relationships
- Work collaboratively with housing teams, healthcare services, and external agencies
- Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and equality standards are upheld
- Experience working with homeless or vulnerable adults (desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally
- Basic IT and record-keeping skills
- A compassionate, non-judgemental approach
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
