Support Worker A&E

Location: Crewe

Salary: 15.00phr

Shift pattern: Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (08.00-20.00)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide continuous 1:1 observation and support for patients with mental health needs.
• Offer reassurance and de-escalation during distress.
• Work closely with A&E staff and mental health teams to ensure patient safety and dignity.
• Monitor and report changes in behaviour.
• Support the management of challenging situations in a calm, professional manner while following safeguarding procedures.

About You

• Experience in mental health, healthcare, or social care is desirable.
• Strong communication skills, ability to stay calm under pressure, and a caring, non-judgemental approach.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, is essential.
