As a Support Services Assistant within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, you will play a vital role in ensuring our healthcare environments remain clean, safe, welcoming and efficient for patients, visitors and staff. Working across a range of integrated services, you will contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of our facilities through cleaning, catering, portering and support activities. This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is unable to provide candidates or employees with a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS).
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:- Eastwood Health Centre
- Monday to Friday, 15:30 to 20:00
- Permanent, part-time
- Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours
- Carry out cleaning duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across healthcare environments
- Support catering services including meal preparation, meal distribution, dishwashing and food temperature monitoring
- Assist with patient personal clothing services including sorting, washing and preparing garments for return
- Undertake porter and messenger duties including transporting patients, mail, equipment and essential supplies
- Safely operate a range of cleaning, catering, laundry and portering equipment following required procedures
- Report faults, complete departmental records and follow work schedules as instructed
- Adhere to all health and safety policies, infection control procedures and quality standards while delivering excellent customer service
