WS Training are looking to appoint a Study Programme Tutor for our post 16 and SEND courses including Vocational Studies or/and Maths, Employability, English and PSHE.

Your responsibilities

• Teaching FS English and Vocational Studies Level 1
• Contributing to the initial assessment process, induction activities and identifying gaps in learning
• The use of baseline assessments to plan suitable sessions enabling learners to access learning that is motivational and inspiring
• Assisting students to improve their own learning and performance by developing their study skills
• Devising appropriate interventions to support students to remain on track for completion of their course
• Agreeing and putting in place relevant targets and actions
• Taking responsibility for planning and delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to our students who have a broad range of barriers to learning and/or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

What you will need

• Minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Qualification
• Minimum of Level 2 functional skills or equivalent in maths and English
• Recent experience of working in an educational setting and delivering learning to students
• Experience of developing programmes of study for young people who have experienced barriers to their lives and education
• Experience of delivering Functional Skills Maths and English.
