Storeman

Our client is looking for a Storeman to work at a location in Waterlooville

Key Responsibilities for the position include:

• Receive deliveries, inspect goods, and check quantities.
• Book incoming items into the ERP system and label appropriately.
• Store goods in correct bin locations and maintain orderly storage.
• Maintain accurate inventory through stock counts and transaction discipline.
• Pick and issue materials, tools, and consumables to production teams.
• Prepare shipments, including packing, labelling, and documentation.
• Load and unload vehicles safely (using forklifts if certified).
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and ensure safe storage practices.
• Support production with timely material delivery and returns handling.
• Assist with stock audits and year-end inventory.
• Identify and report damaged, obsolete, or slow-moving stock.

Skills & Experience (Essential):

• Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment.
• Understanding of inventory systems or ERP use.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with goods in/out processes.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely.

Skills & Experience (Desirable):

• Forklift licence (counterbalance or reach).
• Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.
• Knowledge of stock control practices (FIFO, batch control).
• Familiarity with ERP platforms such as RIDDER.
