Are you a passionate and experienced veterinary nurse looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as Head Nurse at our brand new veterinary practice.
As the Head Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing team, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered to our furry patients. You will also be responsible for training and mentoring your team, as well as assisting with administrative duties.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience as a veterinary nurse, with strong leadership skills and a genuine love for animals. A qualification in veterinary nursing is essential, and previous experience in a senior role is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and support our team of veterinary nurses, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional patient care.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to nurses, helping them grow and excel in their roles.
- Collaborate closely with veterinarians and other team members to deliver comprehensive care plans for our patients.
- Perform nursing duties with precision and compassion, from administering treatments to monitoring post-operative recovery.
- Ensure all nursing procedures are carried out according to protocols and best practices.
- Champion patient welfare and comfort, making each visit to our clinic a positive experience for our furry friends.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture among our nursing staff.
- Organise team-building activities and celebrate achievements to keep morale high.
- Be the go-to person for nursing staff, providing support and guidance in their daily tasks.
- Build strong relationships with pet owners, offering compassionate support and clear communication about their pets' health.
- Assist in client education initiatives, sharing knowledge and promoting responsible pet care practices.
- Contribute ideas for improving clinic efficiency, patient care processes, and overall client satisfaction.
- Stay updated on veterinary nursing best practices and technological advancements.
