Staff Nurse - SAME DAY EMERGENCY CARE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a staff nurse within the Same Day Emergency Clinic (SDEC), providing rapid assessment of acutely unwell patients.

We are looking for a high-calibre individual with good interpersonal and communication skills. You will be motivated to develop professionally in a supportive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have staff nurse experience in an acute hospital and will be seeking a challenging and fast-paced role that emergency medicine provides.

Applicants need to be a Registered Nurse, ideally with post-registration experience in an acute setting. This post is subject to a 6-month probationary period, which will be renewed based on performance reviews.

The successful candidate will be required to cover shift patterns, including weekdays and some weekends. This is an essential part of the role.

This service is planned to move from Poole site to Royal Bournemouth site in January 2026.

Please note, if the role or service relocates as part of this plan, employees will not be eligible for excess mileage reimbursement. Travel from the home to the new work base will be considered a normal commute. Other changes unrelated to this relocation will be managed according to relevant Trust or national terms and conditions.

Person Specification Qualifications

• NMC Registered Nurse
• Basic IT skills
• Non-IV and IV medication administration

Knowledge

• Knowledge of conditions relevant to the specialty
