We are looking for nurses to join our Secure Inpatient Units at Southfield and Ravenswood House. Join our dedicated, forensic service today.
Southfield has 1 male and 1 female ward providing specialist care/treatment for people with serious mental illness in a secure environment who are detained under the Mental Health Act. Service Users are between 18 - 65 years old, may have committed a criminal offence or have challenging behaviour. The unit's main purpose is to assist Service Users to understand and manage their own mental health so where possible they can reintegrate back into the community.
Ravenswood House provides specialist care for patients with serious mental illness and/or personality disorders who need to receive their care in a secure environment. It is comprised of 3 medium secure wards and 2 low secure wards providing an innovative range of recovery based services . Most of our patients have either committed a criminal offence or have challenging behaviour and are admitted from high secure/local psychiatric hospitals, prisons and courts.
Applications are welcomed from RMN/ RNLD nurses with a passion for working with multi-disciplinary teams and who will possess excellent team working skills, be patient focused and embrace Trust values.

Main duties of the jobTo contribute where required to the provision of a 24 hour, seven day a week In-patient based service, across an acute care pathway.
Under the supervision of the Clinical Ward Manager and Charge Nurses, you are required to work according to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Professional Conduct and relevant professional guidelines. You will be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. Develop, implement and evaluate care plans in conjunction with service users, carers and other professionals ensuring individual needs are met. To carry out all relevant forms of care and will be designated to take charge of a ward in the absence of a charge nurse.
