Job Description
Seasons Kitchen is a beautifully bright space that welcomes diners from breakfast lunch and dinner. We served modern, fresh menus that celebrate quality, seasonality and flavour. Our bar team have curated and exclusive wine and cocktail list to rival and top London eatery.
We run two restaurants in the Lavershot estate, an indoor restaurant promoting a high level experience for every guests, and our Street Food outdoor restaurant, providing a laid back atmosphere, without compromising on quality or food or service.
At Seasons Kitchen we are looking for an experienced sous chef to bring their knowledge and experience to our fantastic team, and to promote fantastic standards of professional food service to our guests, whilst working side by side on a section in the kitchen.
On top of your salary, we are able to offer a fixed hour contract, topped up by our fantastic service charge which ranges between £2 and £4 per hour.
The person joining our team will benefit from discounts, not only within Seasons Kitchen, Seasons Street Food and Seasons Farm Shop, but across all businesses in the Lavershot Estate.
Seasons Kitchen's Glasshouse restaurant opening hours are Sunday to Wednesday 9am to 6pm, Thursday to Saturday 9am to 12am, making us an ideal restaurant for a dedicated team member looking for a great work life balance. Our Al Fresco Street Food Restaurant, is based in a pair of Airstreams, and opens May to September from 12pm-9pm 7 days a week.
We are an independent business with the opportunity to be flexible to the needs of our teams, and the luxury of a large, friendly and supportive team to enable this too.
Both kitchens are open faced making this position ideal for experienced chefs at all levels with a focus on working with people of various backgrounds, and interacting with a wide range of guests that Seasons attracts across Surrey, Berkshire and further.
We are looking for a Sous Chef and Chef de Partie and currently have 2 positions available. Our fantastic team have plenty of knowledge and experience to support your development and the group has plans to grow, creating amble opportunities.
The people in these role will be in completing the below;
Support the day to day Kitchen operations, placing orders, ensuring cleanliness
Deliver outstanding service, to maximize customer satisfaction and build reputation of restaurant working in all sections of the kitchen
Collaborate with both Front of House and Back of House Team members respectively
Sous chefs will oversee and train the team to ensure that all food products are checked to spec requirements, before they are given to the customer. Ensuring it is only of the highest standard.
To oversee and utilise the SevenRooms booking system to ensure it is working to full capacity. Collating and communicating any learnings from the system to improve table turn times and improve restaurant efficiency. Training will be provided.
Cater for and coordinate any private events within the restaurant and private dining, feedback to Head Chef on any event details
To lead on a daily basis, and motivate a team of up to 8 and operational management, to ensure cross site communication, team work and efficiency to deliver against business key KPI's.
Ensure that the team have adequate training and ongoing coaching to confidently deal with any customer questions on the day.
Support the creation of weekly team schedules, to ensure sufficient cover for a smooth operation. Issued to team with at least 2 weeks' notice.
Support the delivery for new & current team training to ensure everyone has attended the company induction and safety training.
Implements and measures all procedures relating to stock control.
Meeting with suppliers to ensure a good level of service is maintained and costs are controlled
To build and maintain good relationships in the team to ensure we make best use of skills and opportunities.
This is highly visible position requires excellent interpersonal skills and a strong sense of urgency. We're looking for candidates with at least 1 years of prior experience in food service, who are accustomed to working in fast-paced environments, are attentive to detail and possess the ability to multi-task.
